"Extreme Processing" Challenge/Contest - FINAL RESULTS
Well, the balloting is over. Even though it may all have been carried out electronically, with no paper trail, we haven't let Diebold come within a ten-mile radius of the voting hardware, so I feel confident in certifying the following results:

1ST PLACE - F.Gordon, Fantasy Park :yourock:

2ND PLACE - RagingInMiami, Double Jolt

3RD PLACE - alfredo, She stands out in a crowd

Congratulations to our winners, and thanks to all our entrants!

Thanks Ragin' for the Flash Gordon graphics. I have a few myself. This is one of the prelim sketches I have from the 1949 Sundays. A collector :eyes: would pay big time money for these but I'd burn them before I will ever sell them. Before I take the long nap hope I can find a place to donate some of this stuff... (the character trace is a looooonnnnngggg story)

One thing I use to evaluate the success of the contest is the number of votes, which are at the high end (so far) of around 150. This high level of involvement reflects well on everyone. And a special congratulations to F.Gordon, who has put so much work into his photography and this group and now sees his work rewarded.

Anyone else notice that top photos recently include a high proportion of nearly monochromatic images?

I was just happy to keep Ragin' from winning yet another one of these things. :) But.... all the entries were fantastic and many obviously had a ton more work put into them than mine. Everyone deserves mega-kudos.

9. Actually. Truth be known
I fucked up not once but twice with this whole "hosting" thing. I misread sumtin'. Shocking I tell ya'. :crazy:

I was suppose to stay the hell out of this challenge and let Reg'K handle it all. But did I? Hell no. I blame it on my morning "I'm bored and have a major caffeine buzz thing" going. :D

Oh well. Fuck up once. Shame on me. Fuck up twice. Kill me.

16. I was thinking that we should drop a poll thread in GD
As well as in the lounge, for our next contest or challenge. The worst that could happen is it will start a flame war.

22. Fantasy Park was a winner all the way
While most of us like to enhance our colors and use them to captivate the viewer, F. Gordon took a different approach and blew us away with the power of subtlety. I just looked at his picture again and marvel at how subtle the blue is.
