What are these buildings?

They're all in DC.

Next to the Supreme Court, behind the capital.


The red roofed one off to the left (yes, I know what the one on the right's called :eyes: ).




This one is off the Metro (I think Smithsonian station), across from some Reagan named building.


It's just to the south of this piece of artwork

....crisp, and lifelike, they were probably taken with a Nikon D200!

I ordered my D200 yesterday from Prestige (the same people you used). They called me this morning and said to expect delivery tomorrow. Thanks for the lead and pioneering on "Prestige". They are the only dealer I could find who are able to ship the D200 immediately.

I have no idea what those building are. :shrug:

It pushes blue, but I can calibrate it's White balance by computer. I'm still figuring out how to get proper fleshtones on it. I always relied on the Portrait mode from my other cameras. This one has none of that. Back to the skills book.

You think those are sharp, check out the Capital Dome. I even suprised myself...

Several of your DC architecture shots would have done well in his months contest.

It's great what you can do with these good cameras. A few months ago I did this crop

It just amazes me. You're going to have a lot of fun.

Notice the wide shot. There's sun flare on it from the windows. The exposure of the tilework on the wide is darker than the tele shot. The tele shot in the middle doesn't have the sun fllare, since I zoomed past the windows. I'm maxed out at 70mm (I think 110 in digital) on the Fresco.

Posture? Push ungrateful school kids out of the center tile on the floor, arch your back, stare straight up, bring camera to your eye. Kick kids angry mother while taking shot. Use your ear to pinpoint proximity based on the "Excuse me SIR!" location, and kick in that direction.:evilgrin:
