A question for the pros.
A friend of mine wants to purchase a one-time printing right to one of squirrel photos. What should I charge her? (I would normally considering just giving it to her, but she wants to help me out with my fledgling business).

1. Not a pro but googled
some stock photo prices. There is a range. If you know the use and if it will be out there with your name where the public will see it you might want to give a lower price as long as you name is on the photo and you friend swears to keep the price secret.

Some sites to look at prices

2. Thanks, CC...
Wow, I had no idea people got so much for these things. I'll probably be reasonable with my friend, but for people I don't know so well, it looks like I can sock it to 'em. :)

3. Pricing is one of the most difficult things to do, I have learned
There are so many factors involved such as rights usage, how extensive will be distributed if its printed, whether or not the client will use the shot to make a profit, etc.

I wouldn't take anything less than $50, but of course you can go much higher.
