Exclusive photographs of the NanceGreggs Gargoyle Collection
Our house is infested with these things, as Nance has been collecting them for years. While some are too big and heavy to move easily, I brought some of the more petite specimens upstairs the other day for a portrait shoot. These range in size from about 6 inches to a foot high.

As you can see, some of them were plainly not happy to have their pictures taken. Fortunately, through careful handling and the strategic use of gargoyle treats, I was able to avoid getting bitten.

1. Ooohhhh, scary...
:scared: Do you think they'd play nicely with my angel collection? Probably not.

2. Cool, I love gargoyles!
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 04:49 PM by NV Whino
I was in Scotland years ago and having talked my way into getting access to the upper regions of the Glasgow Cathedral, including the roof, I was in the process of hanging over the edge of said roof to shoot the gargoyles when I noticed several police cars arriving. I strolled back down to the nave and was surprised to find they were there for me. Someone from the hospital, across the way, had seen me and thought I was going to jump.

Wonderful gargoyles, the corner ones were used as drain spouts.

9. you bet
wouldn't let them haul me off until I got my shots.

Actually, they didn't haul me off. They just suggested that I not hang over the edge again as it made the people at the hospital a little nervous.

6. The gargoyles in Paris are awesome
I wasn't a photographer back then, but if I return, I will be sure to photograph them.

5. I didn't know you were married to NanceGreggs
Hell, all this time I thought you were gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I just naturally assumed that because of your avatar, but now I remember many people used that avatar as well as the pink triangle in support of GLBTs.

Anyway, I have a gargoyle of my own.

7. That's a nice specimen
You know, I keep meaning to change back to my Joni Mitchell avatar. Maybe I'll remember to do that today. Nance changed to the rainbow flag for a while too, but she's too firmly attached to her cannabis avatar to give it up.

11. As I am to my anarchist avatar
After joining DU and finding this image online and turning it into an avatar, I told myself that I will not change it until Bush leaves office. After all, I do not recognize this administration as a legitimate government. I believe it should be abolished.
