1. I just realized you got a new "L" lens
Sorry. I'm a little slow.
:dunce:

I know the bee isn't featured as much on the first photo.... but I really like that one. The whole composition thingey with the muted background. Very nice. Then the 2nd and 4th (if I'm counting correctly) are awesome. Got that whole cream of bokeh soup thing going with excellent focus.

200mm w/crop will give ya' very good "reach". New lens is like having a whole new camera, eh?
:hi:

2. Yes, indeed.
I am loving this new lens. I think though that I am going to have to get the extender just to give me a bit more reach but for insects and flower photography, this is a surprisingly versatile lens. The L series really is special.

3. I got the Canon series penile implant
Tough to use. Really "stops down" the exposure. IMO it's best to go full manual which can be difficult because you get shoved down the exposure stairs about 2 to 3 steps. Or, use spot metering. Lock the exposure on one spot then step back up the stairs using EC. But then... the background. And if you don't want the focus to go "soft" at full zoom you'll need to crank up the f stop.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
:dunce:

4. HullBoss keeps talking about buying me one of these...
The really expensive one, I forget what it's called, and I keep trying to discourage him (wink, wink). He's much too good to me.

You should look at the 400mm prime, but if you get this one can I borrow it on weekdays?
:hi:

6. No, actually, I believe it was this one
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

Seriously, I would NEVER let him spend $7,000 on me. That would be terrible. (But that is a lovely lens, and would sure be nice for the swans and stuff.)

7. That is an awesome, but the F2.8 plus IS
really boosts the cost way up, too much for me. :(

10. Oh, don't I know...
That's why I keep telling HullBoss to put the thought of his mind. At least I feel like I should sell a few pictures first to justify the expense, and I haven't even gotten around to getting my website up yet. My day job keeps taking up all my time.

9. No problem CC
As much as I can post, I will. Things will be slowing down for me soon as school ramps up again. Thanks for the comments and good luck on the renovations.
