2. well....
Let's see them. :)

Sorry, I deleted what I had. I decided my shots aren't all that great... and I am a big chicken. I go back and forth debating whether I should post or not. I'll repost a couple of them.

3. Those are cute
and I really liked your other shots too.

Here's a photo of my niece, that I've posted before.

This one is looking down from a cave.

I'm posting this one just because of the rings, which resulted from using an 800mm mirror telephoto lens.

This one I took while I was driving by the farm where I grew up.

I like the black and white threads, I still do film and my own darkroom work, even though I'm not very good with darkroom techniques.
Thanks for starting a new b&w thread.

6. Thanks
I remember the one of your niece, she's awfully cute with her kitty cat. The others are nice too - I like the composition of the one of the farm.

Its always interesting to see what other people take pictures of. I am so locked into close ups of people and things that I can't always see 'the bigger picture' - as they say. I don't know, its weird. Anyway - thanks for posting your photos, I love to see them

4. There was no reason to delete the thread
The shots were good. I always love playing around with cropping, and the second one you have posted now I was playing around holding my hand over the screen, and with a bit lopped off the top, so much focus jumps to those eyes - I was holding my hand right at the point where the bangs start to get washed out in highlights. I like the focal point a little off center - makes photos a little more dynamic, and cutting some off the top would accomplish that. It would also bring out the nice horizontal bands in your composition - bangs, eyes, sleeve - the three things would tie together more that way.

Here's one of mine

and another - a bit of stealth photography here:

5. You're right
I should have just left my original post alone. Sorry for being so ridiculous. :)

Thanks for the advice on the photo, you are right about that too. I'll have to fire up photoshop and play around with it. That shot is one of my favorites of my son...

I am dying to get back into a darkroom- I don't have access to one right now. The two I posted I printed myself this time last year in a Photo class. I have sort of given up black and white recently because I am so unhappy with the results sending my film out to be processed and printed. I'm going to have to move in a couple of months and I am hoping to be able to have a dark room when I do. We'll see.

I like your shots by the way, especially the top one, and the stealth one is pretty funny too. :)
