3. Thanks, bridgit
I was hoping for news of the sunset on the Republican Senate as well before posting this, but it looks like it may be a while before we find out. Still hopeful, though!

2. Now, isn't that the kind of photo that
makes one utterly delighted to have a camera (and know how/when to use it)? Great image. You have my permission to go running through your town yelling "woo-hoo, woo-hoo" while flashing a 16 x24 print of this photo. Even naked, if you choose.

4. Whew, even the wife wouldn't want to see that...
but you're exactly right about having a camera when something like this happens. This was sundown on Monday evening. Happened to look out the window just as this was happening, ran like an idiot to get a camera and some shoes and went running outside to catch it. It was stupendous for about 5 minutes and then it was night.

6. I've missed some utterly unique skyscapes on my way to work.
I have the memory of those images, but can't share them. Photography is all about sharing (well, to be honest, there are also exceptions), and thank you, and everyone else who posts here, for doing just that.

5. Combine it with a musical tribute...
Na Na Na Na,
Na Na Na Na,
Hey Hey,
Goodbye!

:spank:

Shall we have an informal (non-judged) challenge, "A Photographic Response to the End of Republican One-Party Rule"...? I've been running without sleep for too long to go through my archives right now, but I'll see if I've got any appropriate shots tomorrow.

9. Wow! That's glorious! I have a thing for Sunrises and Sunsets. :-)
Sort of funny too... the photo I submitted this morning to the Autumn contest, before I read this thread, is a Sunrise and the title was inspired by our wonderful victory and new beginnings. :)

10. Just saw your submission
Really lovely pic. Today feels like a real Morning in America (unlike the phony 1980 version).

17. I love the contrast
Dedicating a photo of a beautiful sunset to the hideous ugly monster that is today's Republican party.
