My Christmas trip to Memphis
The pool at our hotel

A small part of the wall at Graceland. It is covered and it is a looong wall.

Christmas at Elvisville. My husband calls this part of Memphis "Our Lady of Elvisville"

The sign outside our hotel

Beale Street

The Lorraine Motel, where Dr. King was killed. This is also the site of the Civil Rights Museum.

Highlight of our trip - the Stax Museum.

1. We have friends in Memphis

who we visited maybe three years ago. I think we saw every one of these places (except your hotel pool). We had a great time there. I really liked that place. That Stax Museum is fabulous.

2. A pool with no need for a lifeguard. Don't fret it.

3. Nice pics
Way back in the day when my dad was in the military I lived on the naval base in Milington just outside of Memphis.

4. I had relatives there in the 60s when I was a kid
I can remember driving by Graceland then and it was just a house. A nice house but just a house in a middle class neighborhood with a bunch of other houses just like it. Now there are no other houses in that neighborhood; they have been replaced by Elvisville.

7. Watch Out for Stax!
It's being revived.

I can't wait to see what's going to be on it. Shall we knock on wood?

;)
