Poll question: What DUzy came up with diagonals anyway?
Can we skin him alive with a dull butter knife? What do you mean exactly by diagonal? Any specifics and will any of these work? Help me pick a pic please people.:banghead:

#7. Photos of JeffR being skinned alive with a dull butter knife taken on a strong diagonal slant.

#8. None of the above, just go take some diagonal bird pictures.

I will never get caught up with trying to comment on all the threads I missed, just getting caught up on getting to see so many great photos in them is taking a while.

1. I voted for 5
3 and 6 fit the diagonal theme too. But what I really like is 7.

8. Meet up time in JeffR's neighborhood for a
unique photo op?

I thought of 5 originally then as I got to looking saw more that could be diagonal. It was seeing more maybes that made the whole theme become frustrating after thinking it sounded easy.

2. Two, but a baby is hitting below the belt. Kittens is playing fair, but
babies is upping the stakes, it is the nuclear option.

Terrific image.

9. Thank you though I always thought
pulling out pics of my feather-kids was seen as a nuclear option here. Harley hasn't failed me yet. And to think I have a pretty baby handy now with parents that think it is so cool to have her pictures posted all over the net.

12. I think I will unless something else
pops up. This has been a learning experience.

Congrats on you getting your calendars. I got mine well before xmas and love it. Gave a few away and they were well received too. You did a great job on organizing, running, getting it done and putting it together. So when are you going to start on next years?

4. Another #5'er here
Nicely done and it has that "magical" light.

Although I'd happily volunteer to be the person who holds JeffR down if you decide to go with #7. I had also thought about the flower thing. I like this too. Actually.... I'm clueless on this whole digapoo thing. I'm just diggin' all the wonderful photos you posted.

:hi:

10. Ready for a meet up in Jeff's
corner of the world?

That #5 is part of the @#(%#$(#$%*)&* power plant they built here in the middle of nowhere close enough that I saw the lighting, ran home, up a flight of stairs, grabbed camera, ran down the flight of stairs, and back to find a spot under the wires before the light was lost. I did have to wonder if a digital camera would work with all that electricity around. I could hear it (loud too) and feel it. It has also ruined any opportunity to get pictures of the Northern lights the rare times they are visible from my house. So finally I have something positive to say about it. One contest picture. lol

14. The person that posted this
thread "This diagonals thing is a pain in the ass" came up with it. :)
It looks like #5 is going to be my entry unless the diagonals present themselves in another shot. Thank you for the compliment. I took that to use to look up what kind of bird it was. Hoping I get some back in the spring. Still have Blue Jays, Cardinals, Juncos, Nuthatches and Chickadees visiting now though and enjoying them.

7. #5 rox!
Actually, they all do.

As for the theme, I just tossed it out there & didn't think it was worth voting for myself.

So there.:P

11. Your theme suggestion sounded so easy
at first. Then got to looking and thinking about a diagonal that looked semi decent as a picture too. That is when it got frustrating. Your suggestion actually wasn't so bad in that it made me go back and look at a lot of my photos only to realize that a whole lot of them have diagonals running through them one way or another. Now I am going to go back and look for verticals, horizontals and geometry. You might want to try it, it does make you look at your pictures in a different way.
