Guess who went skiing in the Alps today?
 Me and MissHoneyChurch. We had a fabulous time, the weather was amazing. About 40F and clear blue sky, sun was low and warm. We had a blast! Here's some photos...

Ski school, these little stinkers made me feel old.

Alpine view

Snowplow anyone?

2. Well, when you haven't been skiing for 11 years
and kids are whizzing by you at 100 km/h, after 4 hours of skiing every joint, bone and muscle in your body aches -- yeah you feel OLD!! LOL. But nothing about 4 Advil wouldn't cure.

I am now convinced that I need a serious exercise program with a personal trainer. (I am lazy when it comes to exercising)

It was alot of fun though, smaller ski area, there are others within an hour and a half that are larger, with more trails, but this was my first experience skiing over here. The views are amazing compared to the Eastern US. :hi:

"The views are amazing compared to the Eastern US."

~snip~

That has surprised me also, on my trips back to Pennsylvania and the Northeast..."mountains" aren't the same as they are here in the West...

3. Hey now
If God meant for people to ski on snow, he'd have made... uh... snow.

Never mind. I can't really water-ski worth a damn, come to think of it, but it's all I know of standing on sticks in motion. Still, it's my prerogative as a Floridian to mock such an activity on principle. So there.

Cool photos. Glad y'all didn't get into any trouble.

sitting in one of those lounge chairs, I said: self, this is as good as it gets. :D

Next time I will remember to bring my hot Ovaltine in a thermos. Although many people were drinking beer. LOL!

24. Looks like you picked the perfect day for goin'.
Great pics - and glad you had a good time.

Tried riding a skateboard once (emphasis on once). Got rolling and couldn't figure out how to stop - ran into a parked car - not pretty - but I stopped. The kids were howling in laughter - "Uh, mom? just put a foot on the ground."

Think I'll pass on the skis - and just enjoy seeing your experience...

26. I fell off a skateboard when I was 16
That killed any idea I ever had about riding something that requires two feet on one item. No thanks! I can't afford to fall on my shoulder! :hi:
