dark hand
Put vaseline on my hand, then arched it to relax the skin.

2. That is intense! Very nice!
Sure hope we do have a Hands theme sometime!
(especially now that you have shared the best secret in photographing them well!)

:hi:

6. Thanks. My hands were cracked and dry, so I put Vaseline on them.
I noticed how the light reacted, so I grabbed my camera.

8.  I'm getting old and ugly. That's my reality.
It is interesting to watch my body disintegrate before my eyes. The wrinkled skin and crooked fingers were earned through honest work over many decades. The vaseline helped show a truth that may not have been seen otherwise. Getting old is new to me. I've already been young. It was fun while it lasted, but it's time for something new in watching the old.

BTW, Dying flowers can be interesting too. I did a bit of tweaking to get the garish, almost repulsive colors. This was inspired by the dying flowers in the opening sequence for the HBO series "Six Feet Under." The images were lovely and very disturbing. There was a visceral response to the colors used.

Here's the link to the Six Feet Under open sequence.

9. Love your flowers!
Am a huge SFU fan.
Sure wish it were still on.

Your flowers are very much the echo of the withering/dying flowers in the opening of SFU.
Great job!

10. Thank you. As a kid I spent a lot of time in a funeral home. The
colors and smells are still with me.
