1. Wow, beautiful
but that's pretty sad Blue, when you refer to sunny days as "we had one LAST WEEK!" Sounds like your summer was a washout?

This summer has been kind to us, we've had little rain, and many cloudless days. It's still warm, in the 70s, but oh man are the days getting shorter fast. Losing about 4-5 minutes of daylight per. You can tell the angle of the sun is getting lower, because around 5-6pm it feels like the sun is setting, although technically the "Sonnenuntergang" isn't until 7:41pm.

First fall that I've actually been somewhat "depressed" to see summer over, I am usually all about Fall and Winter. I guess my thyroid meds are finally healing my whacked out internal time clock.

2. After the weather this summer...
...I'm sorry to wish more misery on you, Blue, but I really, really hope that you get stuck with your governor for another three years.

3. Yes, please send her back here
so we can straighten her out. She's gotten entirely too big for her britches.

6. It was sunny last Friday and Saturday,
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:19 PM by Blue_In_AK
but by Sunday, our little camp site looked like this with us all hovering around the fire under the bungee-corded big blue tarp, with the raindrops pouring down and the wind whipping. We were going to stay over until Monday but HullBoss and I and his mom left early because the weather was just getting too nasty. We drove home through a downpour. Heather and her family stayed through the night but they got rained on the whole time. And that's how it's been here since. Pretty much like the rest of the summer.

The weather forecast is showing mostly cloudy with only a 60% chance of rain for this coming weekend when we go to Denali. That's a vast improvement over the forecast for the next couple of days. Sad...
