Pinwheels for Peace!
So I was driving to work the other day and passed the local elementary school. They had the kids make peace pinwheels and had them all over the front lawn. Who could resist a photo op like that? Not me! :)

6. Yeah, I'm not happy at all with the first one.
But I wanted to get one of the "Pinwheels for Peace" sign, and that was the best shot of it.

2. What a cool idea.

Sounds like a fun project for the kids to learn about peace. Pretty too.

4. I'd love to know who thought of doing it.
And i wonder if there are any wingnut parents who are pissed about it. Kind of political for elementary school.

5. They probably think it's normal.
Just like I thought bomb threat were normal when I was in elementary school in the late 60s/early 70s, just like my sisters thought "duck and cover" was normal. It's not until at least 6th grade that most kids develop start thinking about the world reflectively (that is, outside their parents' context). I just hope some of these kids have RW parents that this kind of exercise will help them from becoming Freepers when they grow up.
