| Ice falls |
|
Alaska is a really wet place, but in the winter, of course, all that water turns to ice -- oozing out of the sides of cliffs and forming along the sides of the creeks until they freeze up entirely. Here are a few shots from our road trip earlier this week.
    This is the McHugh Creek falls, always difficult to photograph because it seems like no matter where the sun is, the falls are in shade. This is about as good as it gets -- for me, anyway.  |
