Suggestions for November/December contest.
After consulting with mth44sc the Wise, regnaD kciN the Omniscient, and blueraven95 the Perspicacious and Indefatigable, and looking at last year's schedule, I've shifted the monthly contest to be the mid-monthly contest. I'd like to get suggestions this week, put a poll up next week and announce a theme before Thanksgiving so that we can use some holiday time to work on whatever the theme is. Then we'll have submissions by early December and finish the prelims and finals by mid-December (or so) so that we can have some time and attention for holiday displays before the end of the year.
All thoughts on theme or scheduling are welcome.

Other than my perennial "Things on Robb's Desk" suggestion, how about something to do with waiting? Things sleeping, winter hitting hard, Obama not officially in until January, etc...?

I just happen to have some photos of cool reflections off non-water surfaces.
Of course, they are film prints not digital. In a box somewhere....

10. I like the idea of reflections too.

I'm kind of obsessed by them right now too. Lol. It would be quite timely.
Hopefully I will have time to enter since that is getting into finals and it's
going to be crazy busy for me. It's always interesting to see other people's
interpretations of themes.

I am thinking we did 'reflections' not too long ago. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Someone with a younger brain than mine might remember better.

15. I had that same feeling.
We did "Water's Edge" in February, that had a few reflection shots. And we did did a reflections contest waaaaay back in early '05 (I think). But I've searched for others and haven't found anything going back to late '06, so we're probably due for another reflection contest.
