1. I want to get the Canon Powershot G10...
It is a great little camera. I saw it and immediately fell in love with it.

2. What a great looking camera
And it shoots in RAW! Not only RAW but RAW + JPEG!
Great feature that I'm just getting used to with the new DSLR I've got. And if the menu works like the one on the DSLR it's really easy to make adjustments - one thing that's not easy to do with my Fuji E900.

5. Good news...

This camera isn't like those you have to go up or down in the screen menu extensively just to adjust the ISO or even turn the flash on or off. This thing has buttons like the old school cameras which makes this one faster to use. That was precisely what attracted me about this camera because I get annoyed going through the menu just to change a simple function. It also has a viewfinder (I hate the digital screen, hard to see when there's lots of sunshine). I loved this little machine. My hubby wanted to get the new Leica until I saw this baby. We ain't getting the Leica I can tell you.

4. I've taken some mean shots with the G series

G3

G6

G9

But I wouldn't use any of them for anything that moves - even a little bit... They are just to slow.

3. Can you give some more information?
Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 12:42 AM by Tindalos
Do you want a point and shoot or DSLR? Price range? What kinds of things do you want to photograph?

I just got a Nikon D40 and before that I used a Canon Powershot. They're both nice cameras.

Edit: Forgot to say, there is a good review site here http://www.dpreview.com/
