I'm sure she looks great, and we'll meet her soon. Right now, she is a perfect color match and that's a nice start.

We have 4. Sigh.

Those dried flowers will be a favorite plaything if she's anything like my critters. Demolishing flower arrangements is in their DNA.

8. We were down to our 20-year old Siamese

(who's still going strong) but thought after he goes, we'd be a dog-only household.

DNA is right! She takes minimal interest in the purpose-bought cat toys and spends much more time with dried flowers, mail and wicker furniture.

Such a pretty kitty.

Last year my sister's cat stayed with me while she was doing pharmacy rotations. So I probably have several hundred photographs of the cat. Including some action shots like this one. I miss the cat so much, my sister took her with her to St. Louis when she was done with school.

13. It's funny

but I've gotten very attached to other people's cats many times.

Our own? Usually not so much.

But they do make good models for photography. I've also been ditzing around with a small stone sculpture of a cat head for about four years now. If I ever finish it, I'll take a bunch of photos. Presto, no more action shots.
