State historic registry
OK, I'm not thrilled with this picture but it does have three locations in the Historic Registry and was taken from a fourth one. So maybe an honorable mention?

1. Go for it!!
Great, educational contest. It's really just all about everyone looking around and noticing things, don't you think?

The worst that can happen is that you won't have to organize the next oontest.

PS: I think it is a great entry! I myself plan to submit one that won't win-- not such a difficult task for me.

3. LOL!
"The worst that can happen is that you won't have to organize the next oontest."

Didn't you mean to say "you will"?

And don't get too cocky about your poor chance of winning - you just never know what others will like!

5. "you just never know what others will like!!"
OMG, that's sooooo true! Been doing these contests since the photo group started in doing them in early 2005 and I've been shocked by some of the results. Pretty much if there's a cat picture, it will win, even if Ansel Adams, Robert Steiglitz, Annie Liebowitz and Robert Capra submitted entries!

2. That's neat!
Maybe we should have subcategories - Most sites in one photo!:) (I always like pic's of ships and boats!) I'm guessing the building in the center is one as well.

4. There's more than I thought
The building in the background is Alcatraz Island - #1
The schooner is the Alma - #2
The trees are growing in the Aquatic Park Historic District - #3
The steam boat is the Eureka - #4
The little boat in the middle is the Hercules (i think) #5
I took the picture from Ghiradelli Square - a sort of number 6

Had I been thinking in these terms I could have gotten several more in the shot, but it was raining and I didn't want "my precious" to get wet.

6. Six???? That IS impressive
How can you get all of them into one name? If you think of a clever way to do that, you are a sure winner!

In any case I really like your photo, whether you submit this or another one.
