1. Very cool. I have been trying to get a good shot
of the 2 hummingbirds that come feed. By summer's end, I will have succeeded, I hope. I love the wings!

2. Yeah, thanks! It's always a treat the first time you get a special shot.
I totally know everyone has their files full of these. But not me.

8. Visualize this:
I set up my camera on the tripod next to the patio table with the umbrella, focus on the feeder which I moved into position from somewhere else.
I then double stick tape a 3 x 5 foot paper banner from the front of the umbrella with a hole cut out so I can see the feeder. Small hole, but sufficient.
I'm just a few feet away and all these finches and cardinals and little brown guys have no clue. Only the squirrels have a hunch, but they know I bring the food, they don't care.

So I do paperwork, answer the portable phone, move my activity outdoors, and every now and then reach for the button that exposes the photo.

Long story short, I think you are right.

6. Definitely cool
Watch out though, photography is a gateway to bird porn.

7. That's incredibly funny. I love it. Actually I once attended a sign show in downtown
Denver, and they had at that time put tape players into the street grates in the sidewalks, deep down, and when you walked across the sound and voices came on, or music, or whatever.
It was so startling and so totally unique, I will never forget the area those photos are showing, or my time in the Denver ambiance.
Really very special.
