Had a little house guest this morning
He (I think) flew into an open door, let me pick her up and then hung out on my arm for about 20 minutes. Then flew away.

1. Adorable
Had no idea that wild birds like that would hang out on someone's arm!! They fly away from me when all I do is try to get a photo!

Anyway I am certainly glad you have the evidence for this. So I guess you didn't take the picture, right? That would have been a bit difficult.

And flew away outside I assume? Surely not in your house again, LOL!!

One time some pretty bad type birds got in our house through the chimney and my husband had to chase them with the leaf net for the pool. I'm generally not a fan of birds in the house. I'm glad it was this particular obliging one with you.

What a cutie pie!

2. it was wonderous
I did take the picture, one handed. Set it down to get the zoom right and put the flash up. I though that the flash would scare the bird, but he didn't seem to mind. After about 20 minutes in my hand he hopped up on my arm and I went outside. After a few more minutes he flew away.

3. it gave me an idea for a contest
My ideas never win, but it would be cool to have a contest entitled "I am glad I had a camera with me when..........."

Having that happen is awesome, but GETTING THE PICTURE makes it double the thrill..

See, I just find it hard to believe that the bird stayed right there while you got your camera out and ready with your other arm. That's really something. I'm kind of shaking my head over that.

4. I'm shaking my head too . . .
The really odd thing was that it was very alert the whole time. Very aware of where it was. Really an amazing experience. And I think that's a great idea for a contest!

5. I think it would qualify as a "Stranger" for the upcoming contest.
To me, it looks like it was hanging around to say thank you for helping out of this place.

9. blush
I never thought the little critter would hold still for it. I took five shots with flash - from less than arms length. I think the kudos have to go to the bird more than to me! Brave little bird.
