Hiking the Alps and Wienerschnitzel

I pulled the Food shot into Picasa, and could not do a thing to make it better.
So we just accept it for the ambiance
:)

1. Quite a dramatic shot!
Looks like the photo of your friend with the Schnitzel and Pommes was taken in the same place. Where is he?

Nice!

I enjoyed the one from Brittany too!

2. This was this guy's first Schnitzel ever. He is my friend's
hiking partner. They set out from "Grindelwald", and crossed the "Grosse Scheideg Pass", as best I can make out.
They may hike past your front door any day now.
I think the window shot makes all the not so great ones worth while, but I'm posting some of the ones I get because they seem to get looked at, and I figure we want to take a mental hike every now and then

:)

3. OMG Mira I am drooling!
No, not for the Alps picture, no not for your guy friend, but for the schnitzel! Many, many, many years ago I was traveling in Germany visiting relatives. We (my mom and two siblings) traveled by trained and were quite hungry, found our way to the "food car" and I ordered schnitzel. Now Mira, I don't know if it's the lapse of time, some young gals dream, or just the thought of the whole experience, but that was the BEST schnitzel that I have ever eaten. And yes, I still dream about it, I still hunger (LOL) for it. What a great time I had during that trip, how fun meeting foreign relatives.

4. That tickles me, these photos passed on have triggered
memories in many of my friends here. So as long as I get them I post the ones that are the most fun or the prettiest.

If you don't have a recipe for how to make it (properly) PM me,
it's available.
My German cooking is better than my photography

5. Tickled memories is just
and understatement. And if you say your cooking surpasses your photography, (frankly difficult to belief), I'm in for a real treat. PM forthcoming.

8. It wasn't Mt. Pilatus, was it?
Visited Swiss Alps many years ago, with family, and stopped there; a FOREVER memory, of course!

9. Oooo, I could live there!
Having grown up in Colorado I have had a lifelong affinity for mountains. Wish I had your gift for photography. Sadly, it seems that every camera I've ever had has come equipped with a guillotine; annoying with scenery, tragic with family reunions!

10. I did not take these, and I'm glad you are visiting Madame,
a friend of mine is visiting Europe for 3 months, and is sending photos on his blackberry. Every now and then I post some to let us all come along and see something a little different.
We are enjoying the strange quality - they are so non-dimensional they look like paintings.

11. I am heading to St. Moritz for 12 days at the beginning of October
your pictures are getting me excited. Hope I come back with some good stuff.

My daughter took my Sony with her to the Marshall Islands last month, and the camera got soaked in a monsoon; I have to see if it can be ressurected before I leave!
