Choices....I could suck you in and say it's just critters ...but I would be lying
A very busy day with swimming, cycling, talking, and a wonderful sunset.
I chose to feature critters I met today, and throw in one of looking up and maybe more.

The big Kinglike looking critter here - I am clueless what he is. But I would pass meadows on my bike, and there they were, and once I got off the bike they were gone.
So I learned to pass them quietly and stop in front of the next lot, crouch in bushes where they could not see me, and bend back leaves to shoot through openings.
Then, after I took the picture and looked over the camera, they were gone, even with no noise.
I came home thinking I had not gotten a single shot of them.

This one critter was easy, he was practically tame, once I told him to stay put he had no problem with it

Check this out: Adopted sister loved having her feet nibbled, which they did do not miss the specks of black, they are all eyes of fish

I'm a bit embarrassed to show this little critter, but his owner wanted me to take his picture

Throwing in a reflection shot and a looking up shot, you decide which is which.

And I spare you the sunset shots, they are sort of daily occurrences, except for maybe this one at the famous 7 mile bridge in Marathon in the Keys

and a simple shot of water at sunset for Dixiegrrrrl

3. Still amazin'.
I read somewhere about some spas (in Japan, I think???) where you can sit neckdeep in a tub of water filled with the little 'nibblers'. Interesting, but kind of doesn't make me want to run out for sushi...

Fierce looking lizards, there! How big are they?

And all that gorgeous sunshine - do you remember when we had to find a very dark place to load film in a camera? Or giving a lick to the base of a flashbulb before clicking it into place? Or those Polaroids where you had to pull the exposed film out of the camera and stick it under your arm to keep it warm while it developed? And the smell of that stuff we had to rub on the pictures...what was that, anyway?

5. Lovely image. Do you know a south Florida artist named Kim Northrop?
She's out of Sarasota, but shows quite a bit in the Keys.

Here's her site:

I really like her work.

6. Thank you, Mira.
Mr. D. is going to go nutz about the iguanas. We have tiny lizards here.
Promises of iguana sitings might be sufficient to drag him further south.

and I have no idea what it is lately about water for me. Or why your pics of it especially make me want to plunge in.
I like the looking up white building, too, btw.

Stealing them all for my folder, and thanks for your generosity.:hi:
