Of Roosters not wanted...of gators to make me sick and sad... and the beauty of the Everglades

It made me laugh that this rooster without shirt and shoes was not wanted in the Sportsman's supply store

plus there was a spelling error in the window graphic.

I am permanently done with any need to photograph gators in this lifetime..especially since nods to Myth44sc are in order for his ability to make them look wonderful, and I cannot.
I quite frankly realize they are like a rock, only dumber. They remind me of our former pResident.

And then there are a few to show the glory of the Everglades.

2. I saw not a single mosquito - but lots of really interesting other flying things

with beautiful wings. It was not oppressively hot, and we were there late in the day, took a airboat ride and other than riding through alligators it was great.
I did not like the gators, I thought the show the man put on where he put his hand in danger, fed the critters half chickens, and bound the mouth of a baby alligator and let people hold it was simply cruelty to animals and neither beautiful nor interesting. I was so uncomfortable I did not take photos of the feedings.

But that's just me.

I like how you only showed part of the gator in the second shot. It makes for an interesting composition.

What the hell is that guy doing sticking his hand into that alligator's mouth? ! ? ! I was going to post a quite gruesome picture as a response, but then thought I'd better refrain from doing so. :D

The laughing gator's toes are kinda cute! ! ! !

The last two shots are very nice, the penultimate one in particular is lovely.

Thank you for sharing these. I was in the everglades years and years ago. We had a lot of mosquitoes that drove me a bit crazy.
