Poll question: Narrowing it down
Dust. My wife likes this one. Looking at me for nearly 30 years has taught her what is not Wabi Sabi.

Fuel Filter. I like this one, but what do I know?

Oxidized. A wall that owes its state to biker bar patrons pausing to relieve a pressure build up.

1. Hard not to be seduced by all three
but Oxidized just has an "it" factor. Pretty close to being a perfect shot, at least to my very subjective standards.

2. Thanks. I am a very poor judge of my own work. I fall in love with one
element in an image, and stop thinking of the whole picture.

6. I understand how that can happen
but invariably, I fall in love with your images, and consider myself an impeccable judge of your work,

7. Thanks. I thought either Dust or Oxidized would have won out over the
claustrophobic Fuel Filter in the above poll. I might have skewed the poll by saying I liked it. They might have picked it to be supportive of what they think would be my pick.

I over think. I need to feel.

I consider you a top shelf photographer with a good eye for composition.

As a young man I was influenced by the ashcan school of art. This image reminded me of that style. It even has a twenty first century "ashcan."

3. I liked the Fuel Filter
Beneath the grime that is the dirty grease, there is some pretty brilliant colors to be had.

8. Thanks. It's like a "drop shadow" to me. I will decide what to enter, and it
might not even be among the three above. It will have more to do with what I like at the time I hit that Post message button.

A rarity.

10. Thanks. That was the only image I liked in the early phase of that outing.
The other phase was finding the antique tractor show.

12. I like them all
but "Oxidized" really nails it for me. It's simple with an awesome composition The contrast between the wood and the rust, the light and the dark I cannot see being improved upon. :-)
