1. The quotation marks in the title of "Our Last Dance"
I think I remember from another contest that quotation marks and polls do not go together well. For that reason I might suggest removing the quotation marks. Do others remember this, or did I dream this?

4. I remember it well.
Not quoting Maurice Chevalier or anything, but it was a pain in the ass. Quotes and polls do not go together (although if someone wants to have them in their original title, it's ok).
Love your wheel, BTW.

I haven't commented on a single one because I am too dumbfounded by them. Whew. Sometimes no comment says a lot.

I almost think that voting a winner in this is NOT a Wabi-Sabi thing to do, but the contest must proceed. It is the American way!

Waitin' 'til the last minute and "timelessness" is all part of a Wabi-Sabi thing. It was a kind of performance art lesson on patience.

PS--personally I wasn't a bit worried. I do NOT worry about someone who has birds spontaneously light on his arms.

Uncharacteristically I liked that better and I re-shot the jugs.

Certainly that was a first for me, anyway--trespassing in order to get a picture--and of a rusty old wheel at that!

Now that I am done with looking for things, I am still aware enough to feel Wabi Sabi deprived in my neighborhood.

The entries are really outstanding. For that reason I can't really single out one, or a few.

Not sure I'm "hitting it out of the field". I'm not too happy with the focus, DOF, etc, but I'm too sick/tired to worry about it too much.

I'm surprised there aren't more entries. It looks like the voters will have a hard time choosing a favourite this month.

you will be repeating your first paragraph about what this "wabi-sabi" is so that the people will understand this contest. I had not heard this term before so I really appreciated the definition that you gave...it made choosing a photo very easy for me. I may not have a winner but I picked my rock because you said this: "Pared down to its barest essence, wabi-sabi is the art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death."

This contest will be difficult, all the photos are so good. :)
