1. WOW - Happy time.
I never will forget the beautiful long link you posted to her growing up. This is a synopsis of those many photos to remind me of how I treasured that.

Happy Birthday!
She is growing up, but not so much yet that you can't enjoy lots of time when she is still "little".
I ought to know, I was made a grandmother way before my time, and the kid is not a SENIOR in HS.

I love this little girl along with you, in my own way.
You've caught on to that by now.

Now get a Wabi-Sabi and post it.

We have great quality going in the submissions, but more does not hurt.

:)

Thanks for the pictures.

5. OK - you asked -
tonight's portrait made my eyes well up. It's my personal favorite now, except nothing ever can top the little cross-eyed concentrated girl holding the pink camera.

I don't the hell know why, but this eyes welling over stuff happens lately, I think I'm turning normal after all the disaster fatigue years.

IMO
the first one is true Wabi-Sabi
the second one is a fascinating photograph.

9. Is this not the cat's meow -forever - when it comes to taking pictures
to concentration we need for ourselves -
to capturing the need to pass on our enthusiasm?

I had this very picture in my head as if it were my own grand-daughter, and forever I will remember it.

11. I saved it for my own self I love it so much, and now I see it was not a pink
camera, there was just "pink" to be remembered.
And once more with feeling: your new 7yr portrait simply takes my breath away.

And: post that Wabi-Sabi shot. What's with you? Don't wanna win?
Dare you!

3. love the progression
of the 4, 5, 6, and 7 on the cake. That is a great idea. I can see them all now in a slideshow for a rehearsal dinner in about 15 years.;)
