Very Merry UnBird Pictures from the River
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 07:00 PM by Celebration
This isn't my thing, but Alfredo keeps challenging me to do macros and still life, so here goes-- (still can't bring myself to snap a picture of a drinking glass, LOL)

I have aloe vera plants and driftwood both places. Oh, and sticker balls too.

Here are the macros

Then there's this, which is not a fave of mine. But proving I am trying things other than birds.

1.  A big round of applause from me.
I like the last two a lot, second to the last my very favorite, both for the choices/crops and colors and I like that you are allowing yourself to stretch to new vistas and try new stuff.
As they say you will never go back to your original dimensions which were wonderful, but there is always more, for all of us.

The third picture reminds me too much of this one I took last week, of softened
wallpaper paste getting scraped off a wall that is being re-claimed for paint.
A truly disgusting and time consuming job that makes a royal mess.

2. yeah
That was something from the bottom of the river, apparently. Most of my indoors macros didn't really work that well.

Anyway, thanks. I think the multicolor wood is my favorite as well, though it certainly isn't a still life. I guess I would go with the mussels in that category, even though it is an indoor shot.

It's still a lot more fun shooting these guys--and I learned that ice IS blue when the sky is blue. I don't really like indoor shots, but I could do an outdoor still life.

5. That's the spirit! Great job. The sticky balls are from a Sweet Gum tree.
