They're early this year.

1. Could these be camellias?
I don't know--I've never seen a magnolia that color. The magnolias around here all have white blooms, and don't bloom until late May.

But I think camellias do bloom pretty early.

2. Definitely not a camelia
They've got tighter flowers with shorter petals and glossy dark leaves. I'm not a botanist, but I think that's a magnolia and they're mostly pink around here. Here's a list of plants that flower this time of year http://www.gardenwiseonline.ca/gw/blogs/rhizome/2010/02/23/magnolia-tree-blooming-february . It's a little early this year, but not unheard of for them to be flowering now.

Here are some cherry blossoms from last week:

3. Very cool!
That type just doesn't grow around here, I don't think. Everyone here has white magnolias.

Very nice photo!

4. The pink ones do better here
They're probably either hybrids or imports from Asia. I think the white ones are the southern variety. There's a few round here with dinner-plate sized flowers, but they don't usually do as well.
