A copy of the Declaration of Independence was read from that balcony to a crowd gathered below.
The Empire of Capitalism has grown around it.

2. It is a beautiful building, as are so many back there.
between Lexington, Concord, Boston, Philadelphia, etc., I was pretty overwhelmed the whole 3 weeks.

3. And the historical significance of so many places
seems to imbue even really modest buildings with a visible grandeur. History comes alive in old buildings, old streets, old farms. It's a privilege to see these things, and to photograph them. To photograph them well, bliss.
