Just got a Nikon D90
Edited on Tue Jun-22-10 04:50 PM by FreeState
I had photography in college and really loved it. I thought I was fairly good at it too (my professor tried to get me to change majors, with no luck). It's been 11 years since then, and I'm not getting younger, so I decided not to wait any longer and dive head first into it as a hobby with a new camera and lenses. So here are a couple of my favorite shots from the last week. (they are all original scale except the moon is cropped 1x1). All of these pictures were taken in my neighborhood, I love that with photography you never run out of subjects, even if you stay stationary.

1. Beautiful! All are very fine, but I really like that moon shot.
And the effect of the depth-of-field in that first shot is wonderful.

4. Thank you
Both of those were taken with the 70-300mm lens (the other two were taken with a 18-55mm). Its been a lot of fun playing with all the settings trying to figure out what it's capable of:)
