1. Those are beautiful!
I just read on the latest page that they outlawed bull fighting in Catalonia. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8831282

2. Beautiful!
I love these close-ups. Very different from what we usually see...

I'm struck by the soft textures...

Thanks for sharing!

4. They look so sweet!
But get too close and they can become fierce! These are PBR (Professional Bull Riders) stock -- I was struck by how healthy, shiny, fit, and beautiful they really are.

5. These are wonderful
I love the focus on the details. Your animal portraits are always inspiring. You have a way of capturing their individuality.

6. Thanks for the kind words!
They are expressive animals -- I never would have guessed it, but they really are. And they have tender moments which amazed me. Like this one:

7. If ever you open a photography school, sign me up!
I could get rhapsodic about these, especially the second one, and the fourth, too. And the others. But instead, I'll just stifle myself.
Your work speaks for itself, it doesn't need me.

8. These are amazing
It was hard to choose a favorite but I will go with #2. What a marvelous composition with the horizontal ear and horn in the foreground and the vertitcal skin folds in the background.

2 BIG

10. Thank you all!
I never knew bulls could be such great subjects! The PBR is coming up in about a week and I may just have to click away again this year!

11. You presented a view of the bull most would never see.
The eyes are so beautiful.

12. I so hope you WILL get some shots of the PBR and share them.
I have a dear friend who is a fanatic about bullriding, I would love to have her come here and see your magic eye.

I so like the way you can "see" the detail in animals.

Please keep on posting.

13. Aw shucks...
OK, I always toy with the idea of not shooting but I just can't be there and not take pictures! The same day of the PBR, Zenyatta (the Super Horse (mare) of our lifetimes) may be racing at Del Mar! I hope to position myself somewhere along the rail where nobody else gets to go and take some shots. She is huge (that's almost 6' at the wither) and gorgeous, and talented beyond belief! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a great photo op day!
