yesterday in Dallas
snapshots really but I've been so busy...

I bought myself a bike to get out on the trails in Dallas, early morning

by the time it got light I met lots of people on the paved trail, including this beautiful family...

I had to do a bit of work downtown and gave this man standing at an intersection a few dollars... he wanted to be sure I wasn't going to use the picture to incriminate him... he was jovial but when I got home and was looking at the pictures I noticed he was carrying a large hammer - assuming for protection (hope he doesn't have to use it much)

went to a Mexican restaurant for a late lunch and they had hundreds of paper butterflies as a wall divider... bad light at any angle but fun butterflies

2. Great photos,
especially the gentleman with the t-shirt. I give you TONS of credit for asking permission to take his photo. If that was me, I would have been too shy and missed a great shot, (as we are all sensitive to asking permission).

And what vibrant butterflys!

4. Love them, so colorful!
I absolutely love going to the park and seeing all different kinds of folks. There are people who love parks and trails and lakes and so forth a lot, and those that never go. I have nothing in common with the latter, although it does depend on the particular park I guess.

5. How I like to share in people's walkabouts.
This one is telling a very adventurous story, and I like the last photo best, what a riot of color.

It's amazing sometimes when we take photos of strangers - the interactions that ensue - and our own conflicting emotions when we do (or don't) ask permission.
Good on you to show us your excursion.
