Went camping at ScottLake in the Three Sisters area in Oregon - some pix
We originally set up at the second lake (of 3) and then discovered the first lake was uncrowded (briefly, as it turns out) and relocated. The pix from my unplugged thread show the views from the second lake, but the first lake has stunning views of the Three Sisters mountains (volcanos).

Even on a cloudy day, the view from the picnic table was very nice:

As the light chasnges, the world changes:

Trees glow:

And when the clouds lift, the mountains appear:

And when the full moon rises:

I don't know how I missed these. Guess my head hasn't been on right lately.

You have the incredible ability to capture.... what's it called? ... the "sweet light". I love the light variation in the 4th one... but my fave is the 1st because of how you framed it. But...but... I love the mystical quality of the last one. Shit.. I like them all.

Looks like ya' had an incredible time with some wonderful eye candy provided by nature. Can't wait to see more. :)

And I'll do my regular begging/pleading: use the group smugmug site if ya' need a hosting place. That's what it is there for.

3. Yes - dark times.
mean we need an occasional reminder of what is true and beautiful in life.

The kid pix and bugs and pets all do the same thing.

And speaking of pure souls, here are a few images of Lucy, the compassionate pit bull:

6. Not me, my one true love
(other than the dog, of course) - well, one of several, actually, but the most enduring. Fell in love, dumped our partners, had a kid, got married, all in the "wrong" order, had another, got divorced (mea culpa) but are still together. Thirtieth Anniversity of going to the JP ("I now pronounce....uh, whose baby is that?") with our first child (only daughter now becoming our oldest son) will be next April Fools Day (there was a very short line).
