4. I will have to post the color version. The blue of the sky is quite striking

Against the black and the orange of the turn signal against the black.

5. Love to see that.
It's as if a space ship had crash landed in a metal sand dune. Or something.:silly:

9. Through the happy accident of clicking on your response and then
hitting the "View All" link, I was able to flip with the browser back and forth buttons between the two versions.

The colors are really strong, and all of them more so against the black. If Chuck Close had made cars his subject, this is what he might have come out with. Come to think of it, there was a photo-realist who specialized in car paintings, but I can't remember the name.

I love the B&W for its purity. The composition is that much more emphasized without color. And there's more definition of the serrations along the turn signal and the sundogs are a little more pleasantly diffused.

So I think they're both powerful, and black plays the vital role in both. So a best actor nomination here for black, to go with the supporting one.

10. Thanks. The metal flake paint really catches the light.
I love hyperrealism. It is kind like of those lucid moments on mescaline. Everything is near normal, but there is a boost of color and features.

7. Both versions are so startling, and so different. That's the reason they are both
my preferred ones. I can't chose.
The b/w is more mysterious, the color one startling and makes me sit up!

11. I see a light rippling across water with the main body of water on the right
... and off to the side. It also gives us a black sand look. That's some fender you got there!

16. Love the color version.
I think the b&w version has potential with some tweaking to the conversion process. However, my skills in that area are very lacking as to making suggestions on what those tweaks might be.
