My lens case had a horrible accident.
I fell.(stairs) It fell. I survived. Contents didn't.

Can't begin to describe how sick I felt.

New (lenses) ones on the way now. (being shipped)...as well as a hard case. (instead of a soft one)

Still...

:(

1. I'm so sorry, my dear Solly Mack...
That had to be tough...

Those expensive bits of glass are a part of us...

I hope you're OK...nothing broken, I think. Still, not fun at all...

Please take care, sweetie...

2. Thanks, CaliforniaPeggy
I'm OK. Just a few bruises and some soreness. I was very angry with myself.

3. Sorry to hear that. My P&S has broken two falls so far. It's
still working. I'd be really bummed if it broke.

I thought I broke mine today taking a flash image through an iron gate. There was a crackling a spark and smoke. All that seemed damaged was the one image.

A couple years ago a photographer was part of a scrum following Wesley Clark down a hill. She fell and her Canon tumbled down the hill. It bounced right in front of me and I caught it. I gave it a quick inspection as I walked up to her. It looked fine. She got more scrapes than the camera.

I hope your camera comes through OK. I know how one can get attached to them.

7. Where you out on a shoot when it happened? It's easy to
get caught up in what you are doing instead of where you are going.

BTW, just got back from a trip to two cemeteries. I set the camera to black and white and I am very pleased with what I see on my monitor. The results remind me of Panatomic-X film.

8. Going to the doctor. Which turned out to be convenient. lol
Thought I'd take some pictures of the stairwell in the doctor's building. I fell down the stairwell at my house though.

I adore cemeteries! Love the old headstones. Can't wait to see them.

11. I'm glad you are not hurt. You can always get new equipment.
I just posted them at my facebook page. I think I will keep my camera on B&W more. It reminds me of Panatomic X film.

6. Thanks, Celebration. This is the first time I've had to replace a lens
I've had the camera 3 years. The body was in a separate case....thankfully.

9. I'm glad your okay!
And sorry about the lenses! But...it is a shame you didn't get off a shot of the staircase while falling. That would have been awesome - a contest winner for sure!:P
