What's your last 2010 photo?

Still about 6 hours from midnight here on the west coast but barring unforeseen circumstances, my camera won't be used again until next year. Here's my last photo of the year. Post your last shot of the year here.

Loading wood with a friend of mine and came across this piece. Whipped out my point and shoot and shot a nice out of focus photo.

30 Second F8 night shot

at the end of the fireworks show. We were standing right under where they were lighting the fireworks off (on top of JC Penney's, the building there with the mural on the side), and by this time the smoke was pretty thick.

So I just decided to give it the psychedelic treatment. :hippie: A little of that "post-processing" we were talking about.




Thankfully, I've got some other pretty good shots from our Fire & Ice New Year's Eve celebration downtown, so I'll give you all a link after I've sorted them all out.

I'm brand new to DU but I'm a half fast photographer and might want to join in on occasion.

copy and paste photo's address(url).

I have a Photobucket account from which I copy and paste my photos... there are other sites such as flicker...

Lots of people here to help if y0u have more questions...

Maybe you could tell me how I go about pasting my url to DU, like where do I paste? How about a 1., 2., 3., ...

I like to use flickr.com

First of all, you'll need to have the images from your camera somewhere on your computer.

Next, upload the photos from your harddrive location to whichever photo hosting website you created an account with.

Then, once you have your photos uploaded to the internet; you will right click and select "copy image location"

Finally, right click and paste the link url into the body of whichever thread (op or not) that you'd like to share your images in...

I think I got it!

follow all info and then practice using the "preview" tab to check and make sure your post is as you want it...

another bit... right click on the photo I took of my shopping bags... at the bottom of the options box that pops up is "properties"... left click and that will give you the address to copy and paste into your post...

I'm using a Mac and don't get "properties" when I right click.

I posted a URL for a Flickr site but wasn't able to post the photo.

It turned out that the link I suggest is not the best to use, but that does not change how to do it.
Take this and with it you will do fine.

I hope you had a good New Year's Eve and have a great New Year Mira. I also hope you enjoyed the extra time snow in with the family. I'm thinking you know where priorities are and made it wonderful.

First let me say that I just dragged in from outside where I smashed my camera after seeing your photos.
Then I sat down to say I don't know what the other 3 posts of yours are ( I see your post is number 4) but if it is more of the same of what I saw on flicker I will have to take even more drastic action.

Now it occurs that the other posts may be your asking about how to post etc., so you are really very very new to DU.
Obviously my taking you by the hand worked and I must say I'm glad you are here, a hearty welcome, it looks like you can teach me a thing or two as soon as I put my camera back together.

They are gorgeous. You are phenomenal. Don't you dare disappear without us getting to know you better, we are a congenial, friendly group and we really like each other. A great bunch to hang out with.

out of curiousity, I went to flickr and it appears that if you click "share this" and then grab the HTML code, copy, and then you paste that onto your post on DU.... It works...


it did not work with your photo because it is licensed, but I was able to copy and paste with others that weren't...

my partner used to have a mac... they can be fussy
