The second for the year - let it inspire you

9 boxes of books ready for Goodwill, and a couple of book cases ready for the curb.

The photo is a bit blown out, which reflects my own state after going through all this and weeding and cleaning.

And it's only a start
(that's what I say every New Years. Cleaning out and lightening up equals resolutions to me)

1. Geeze . . . I thought that I got rid
of a lot of books when I moved, but you win the prize hands-down. ;-)

It's nice to purge one's surroundings and I'm trying to live as minimal as possible.

But . . . my love of kitchen gadgets sometimes gets in the way!

2. great job Mira
It makes me feel a bit tired. I did promise my grandson that I would look for his mom's old Star Wars figures in the attic.................I wish I could attack the books but hubby is in charge of those.

3. You've shamed me into it
I'm going to put together the book boxes I brought home and fill them with books for the local Library.

Alternate suggestions for donating books: Library (they sell them and raise money); retirement and nursing homes ( I can assure you there is a dirty of good, current books in nursing homes. I nearly went crazy for 7 weeks trying to find something to read.)

4. Good alternatives
Did the retirement home donate. What's that old expression? "You'll never be alone if you have a book to read."

5. I went to eBooks because of space limitations and my eyes.
I find I read longer at a sitting with my iPad and the Kindle app. The back light suits me.
