Sunset at the beach
It's hard to get more cliche than yet another sunset-at-the-beach photo, but I like this one. I took it yesterday evening at Rodeo Beach, in the Marin Headlands (CA). My company had their annual meeting at this location, just a few miles from the office. When we finished for the day, I stepped outside, saw this, and made a beeline for the car so I could get my camera and tripod.

3. One of the best! Love the dimensions added by the people, also the one on
top of the hill! Great texture.
I wonder if we ever did a contest: sunset at the beach.
I bet they would be as varied as the other contests.

4. Fabulous!
I normally don't like people in photos like this, but these are a great addition. This is absolutely stunning. And we've had som great sunsets lately. Very unusually for this neck of the woods (or beach).

5. Fantastic photo.
Has the sand been disturbed by the feet of many people? The small troughs add to the picture.

I have never seen sun rays like that before. Very well done.

6. Thank you, all
The nice words sometimes make me begin to feel like all the equipment cost is worth it. Actually, that's not true. I love photography in and of itself, but getting affirmation once in awhile sure is nice.

NVW: I don't normally use people in landscape type pictures. But these were mostly silhouetted, and iconic, representing the idea of a person more than an actual individual. And yes, I agree with you about some of our recent sunsets. I hope to get out some this weekend and take more.

Tabatha: the beach wasn't too crowded, but it wasn't empty either. So there were footprints here and there, but not so many as to detract from a shot. Thank you for taking the time to comment--I appreciate it.

You can't have too many sunsets at the beach.
