Soap bubbles, in my kitchen.
Well, it's a start.

1. I'm envious!
That's so cool. Now that spring is within 7 weeks or so, you can get lotsa things like flower and tree buds etc soon. :bounce:

2. I will have to find my own way with it. The flower and tree buds and insect
closeups are so much better covered by others.
But I'm thrilled to have it, and at a price I could afford.
Onward and upward.

3. I am turning so many shades
of green . . . it's unfathomable! ;-)

I was out and about shooting "winter" shots with no success whatsoever, so I reverted to closeups (my comfort spot).

And no . . . I will NOT post them here! ;-)

That said . . . I truly love each an every shot that you posted here.

11. Thank you Callalily, I think I had beginner's luck.
Good luck on your winter shot. I wonder how many people will enter things other than snow landscapes.
There is a lot more to winter than that when you think about it.

(but what I think I will enter DOES have a little snow...)

10. ...
You, my dear Richard, do very well in the lens department.
BTW, I'm getting closer to pulling out the oils and I have your Peru photo on my desktop, in abeyance...

14. ;-)
I look forward to seeing the painting!

I actually only have one lens, so a nice macro might be in my future.
That and a tilt-shift, but only if someone gives it to me.

7. *Gasp*
They look like jewels!

Just wonderful...

I too am envious, though I will no longer carry around separate lenses. It's just too much damn work...

Though I must say that these pictures make me pause for a moment.

And possibly re-think my position...

Oh wow.

Thank you, my dear Mira!

8. If that is just trying it out I
can't wait to see what you "see" with it once you are comfy using it. Love the first one, it does look like jewels with the pattern on the glass(?)whatever.

9. Thanks, CC for your kind notice, it's a glass with a specific pretty rough pattern in it.
Yup - these are my first ones and it is making me realize there is some there there with a lens like that in ways I did not know.
Handmade34 was my inspiration with the drop of water.

I'm off now to look at some more Aiman photos.

13. Wasn't sure if it was a glass,
vase or even bowl. The pattern is familiar to me for some reasone. Wait until you take a photo of something that looks so clean with the naked eye only to see dust on it when you look at the photo. Even if you just washed and dried it dust will find a way. An real argh moment.

16. Those are really cool.
I particularly like the first one because it's very hard to tell what it is. It's reads like a neat abstract image.
