1. Thanks for taking me to a place I'll never see in real life.

2. Never say never. Opportunities happen.
I'm brazen and claim the right to ask and everyone can say yes or no.

My brother said he was going to a very special place outside Cairo with his boss on serious business. He lives in Germany, so it's not such a big trip for him.

I said: Ask your boss if I can travel with you under my own steam, but share a (free) room with you and I'll keep my mouth shut, make like I'm invisible, and take pictures. You won't even notice me.

He asked his boss. He said yes. I flew to visit my Mom in Germany, which was overdue anyway, and then traveled with them to Cairo and beyond.

Like I said in my other thread: Lucky. (and brazen)

3. Those rugs in your first shot
are magnificent! Your third and fourth are truly "real life" photos. Quite an eye opener.

I posted something about Haiti and thought that you would enjoy reading it. Will add link.

About the residences, I did not notice til I had posted it that there was continuity with each of them showing the occupant.
Total happenstance, I bet I have 200 more shots of how people live that don't show that.

now for the link:
