Shadow photo for Wednesday - no sun today, maybe I took it on another Wednesday
This is one of my favorites. I took it on Sandia Peak in New Mexico in May of 2010.
Hard to believe isn't it, NM in May.

1. Love that image.
Really nice. Soft snow and soft shadow.

2. Well, Sandia Peak is over 10,000 feet
were there any hang gliders jumping off when you were there?
Albuquerque probably didn't have any snow, I'm guessing.

3. You can see that for yourself...
This is taken from one of the Gondolas (name?) going up in the aerial tram, it rises over 4000 vertical feet in less than 20 min.
See the black box hanging from the rails, I'm in one of those a little higher up.

And no snow on the ground, just cacti and tumbleweeds.

7. When I look at this one
I don't believe I had the courage, either.

6. That tram ride was a blast
The day we rode up there were several hang gliders strapped to the top of the gondola. I got to watch them set up and the jump from the top to glide to the valley floor. Looked like a lot of fun. I'll have to go into my archives and scan some photos from that trip. Those gondola cars are HUGH!!!!
