Colorado Snappys... what ya doin' today?
Join me.... if ya' can. I'll be near the Garden of the Gods in Colo Spgs. Will spend a little time in the "Garden" then I'll be walkin' the trails... if you cross the street out of the Garden (where the big plaque is) look for a sign that says "Chambers Trail".

You'll easily find me. Green pants. Plaid shirt. Cheap Target walkin' shoes. Backpack case w/tripod strapped to it. Not into hikin'? The trails are pretty easy. PM me in the next 20 minutes and I'll give you my cell phone #.

Sorry. Short notice. I'll be there most of the day. Join me if ya' can.

:hi:

4. Sorry I couldn't make it
I have two torn ligaments in my ankle, and am waiting to hear if I'm going to be having surgery or not. Until then, the doc told me no hiking or long walks. :(

5. Darn it!
I didn't read this post until 9pm! We weren't doing anything we couldn't have dropped for a photo shoot in the Springs. :(

6. No biggee all. It was VERY short notice
RadFemCO.. sorry to hear about your situation. Bummer. :( Hope you get better soon.

We're supposed to be working next weekend but that could change quite easily in this "booming economy". :eyes: So... next weekend for me is..... 50/50.

And if we could just lure Robb out of his mountain cave. :o

I put on some miles today. Only short time in the "garden". After being hit up 1/2 dozen times.... "can you take our picture" I went into the "Do Not Enter" area. Hey..... trepassing and photography are soul mates.... yes? Not sure how many decent snaps I got... just uploaded... haven't had time to look at em'. Hopefully I got at least ONE. :eyes:

There is this place in cospgs that I think I could get for a private snaparoo just for the Colorado Snappys... but it'd have to be soon. Colors are starting to change quickly. It is a photog heaven. What's your fave.... landscape, flowers, macros, critters, tons of birds, architecture, old stuff, etc... It's all there. And RadFemCO it is a "do at your own pace". Hell, I'll wheel you around and you can keep me from shooting ISO-1600 in bright sunlight.

Other possibles....

1. Downtown Denver (day or night shoot). A night snaparoo would be kewl.
2. Discovered a waaaay kewl cemtery :P (but haven't gone) in Idaho Springs.... mining camps around Nevada City (and another Cemetery) Both close places.
3. ???? I'm open to anything... as long as it's not a 5 hour one way drive. Unless it's an over-nighter.

Again... it was very short notice and this post has waaay too many words in it. Must.Stop.Typing.
:hi:

7. Shit
This was one snapaloonie that I thought I nailed. Everytime I go out I establish a "learning experience". Today was FULL MANUAL day. Manual everything. Miss duck was floating in beautiful reflective water of blue, green and gold. I layed in the grass and dirt and followed her around the pond. Then she moved into the light.... which I thought "nailed it". Damn... shock and awe on the neck and face. Now I'm afraid to to look at the others. :eyes:

I shot this in RAW so I can correct the exposure, but I'm afraid I'll lose the wonderful reflection of the neck/face.

See.... I need to get together with some experienced Colorado Snappys to teach me a thing or 100.
