2. I think it would be best to run it through skinner first.
What you have posted are very good. Still, talk with Skinner because this site is his baby. If he feels uncomfortable, he may ask you not to directly post them. AFAIK, I wouldn't mind following a link to the images instead of viewing them on this forum.

3. The people you should
ask are the sites owners. You can get the email address here. http://www.democraticunderground.com/forums/rules_detailed.html I don't have a problem with these but this is a website and sometimes people tend to go overboard on the web. Kind of strange to me that you posted the photos before getting an answer from the site admins. You've been a member of the DU long enough to know who to ask and how in spite of your low post count.

The first one is pretty good though it could of used a bit more light on the right side of her face. Something seems off about her lap. Blur added for web or from resizing? Hard to tell.

The second one is almost useless to post at the size it is on here.I can see you have a few poses that might be good and they might be well lit but they are so small you can't really tell for sure.

The third one is better lit and works well if you are doing a class assignment that requires you to copy a few hundred other images already done by other photographers.I've lost count of how many times I've seen the same pose and crop. Not knocking the idea, copying what you see of others work is a great way to learn posing and lighting. I just don't see it worth risking getting tomb stoned if the site admins decided that nudes are a not allowed on their site.

I would suggest again you run the idea by Skinner before you post anymore.

4. it seems you questioned yourself - so why did you post it?
there are times in my life when i purposely go ahead with something a little questionable - knowing i'll have had my way and got something special done when i beg forgiveness later.

when it matters a lot how i am perceived - in your case you had a rocky entrance into our group - i don't take chances.

so - you best examine your motives and underlying wishes for risky posts and what exactly you aim to bring to us.

in my post about my "lazy girl lair" i already told you how i felt about your joining us and bringing with you discourtesy and profanity and suggestions to fix it; you did not answer me.

====

the photos:

they're just ok - the first one is imprecise, the head is hugely disproportional, the second one tells me little, and as photos go, the third one is not a real winner either.

so you brought something to the table that in essence was not really worth the risk i describe in my first sentence.

i hope i make some sense to you, i also hope you don't just dismiss my words because they may not feel good.

====

i for one am happy about new people here and all the infusion of diversity they can bring - i like for them to come in gently, and count
the nude photos or the cursing of each other that is going on, keep their eyes and ears open, their mouths shut, and adapt themselves into a well working and happy group of people.

i for one am not one to tolerate disturbance gladly.

5. bingo, Just to test the waters, nothing in poor taste. My sister feels some of what I
shoot is art, and most of the time I chuckle. But you may be right..

6. Your sister and others
might get to see these before they are reduced in size. It really does make a difference in some shots. The first one from this size looks like all it needed was a reflector to bounce some light on the one side. Thing is, it might be lighter/have more detail with all its information. Part of the problem with compressing files.:shrug: I hope you can see what I meant by the second one. Really wish it were bigger because it looks like you have some good ideas going on there.
Having looked at your other stuff you seem to know lighting and have the artistic thing going so thinking your sister is right.
