Control- and other things I saw today.
The first two and the last image are from the Lexington VA hospital. It was time for my yearly tune up and to get my tires rotated.

The boils is where an underground spring resurfaces. The rain has made for a very active boils.
This is McConnell Springs. This is where Lexington, Ky was founded. They named it Lexington because the Battle of Lexington was going when they camped at this site.

1. Yeah - another outing with you. First two are my special favorites,
like the colors and clarity and ?whimsy in control - and the second has marvelous balance.

i also like the springs and the story

thanks

2. Thanks. The second image had terrible barrel distortion that
I had to correct. Such is life. I edited out some trash on the floor too. It didn't add anything to the composition.

I had planned to take my wife to the spring, but she backed out. Maybe tomorrow.

I am not a landscape person. I can appreciated the rhythm, textures, colors, and geometries. I can feel a real passion for the beauty, but I am never satisfied, or excited by what I produce. The minimalist in me rebels. A macro, soggy elbows and knees is more my style.

that does not advance the thesis is eliminated.

I'm really itching for a new camera. I like my Canon G10 because it is small and unobtrusive, but it is limited. I'd like to be able to shoot at an ISO above 100. A little better shutter lag would be helpful. It's going to take a few months to save up for a new camera, so I have time to obsess over the various mirror less cams on the market.
