CONGRATS to the winners of the October contest.

Congrats to everyone that took on the challenge and entered the October contest. We had a great group of photos and everyone is a winner.

2. I thought it was Blue that

said that. Kept going through my head while watching her poll numbers.
Everyone did a great job but that movable. disappearing glacier was hard to beat.

May you not have any disappearing entries and a smooth contest. Plus I have seen bad pictures of Alaska, so the photog does have a bit to do with it.

7. Agreed. Congratulations to the top 3 and good work by all who entered.

I don't vote. Too many really fine examples of very nice work reflecting many different "types" of photography and picking one always seemed to be a disservice to the others. That said, "Mountain Crusher" was really outstanding. My thing is mostly landscapes, and I couldn't find one that I've scanned that fit this theme, even including some glacier shots. "Determination" was a great composition as well as being on subject, and "A Legacy of Strength" was a very compelling and truth-telling portrait.

And, just to remind all others who participated, there was not a single entry that at least a couple people did not see as "the best."

back soon. But it is GOOD to hear from you. Hopefully you survived with out any major damage. A few have been concerned and hoping to see you pop on, if only for a minute or two. Hope things calm down and get as near to normal as possible as fast as possible.
