Sunday I went to check out where some coyotes live and...
wanted to get the lay of the land so to speak. This pic is from that walk. The plan is to find where the coyotes den and get some shots.
Anyway.

1. Pitch a tent for a few nights, & listen for the pups
That's the only way you'll even have a chance of finding the den. Speaking from experience here.

4. It's a swampy area on my freinds farm..........
here in CT. There are fields, rock outcroppings, and a swampy wooded area on the property.

7. they are down the tracks from me . . .
I live in a small town in southern Illinois. Every night at about the same time, the coyotes "go off." (Generally between midnight and 2 am. Lately I have been hearing different sounds, yep, pups going off as well. It must be mom coming back from hunting as they get very excited. I am suprised they are so close to town but then again, I found a possum in my laundry room last fall that was not happy to be disturbed so I am guessing they are finding less and less land to hide out.
