the mean kids always pulled their legs off; that made me sad. We call them "Daddy Long-legs' but they are a "harvestman"

Ya gotta watch out for those spiders -- we had one get inside our stove a couple months ago and completely short it out. When my husband took the back of the stove off to see what was going on, there was the crispy critter arcing across two wires. I needed a new stove anyway. :)
