A few from the 4th of July in my town.
I couldn't make it to the parade, but that's OK. Some of the participants stuck around.

BTW, the camera in the hand of the girl in picture #5 is a Sigma DP 2. It's really a handsome little camera. They say their image quality is very good, but operation slow and at times frustrating, but the owners love it.

1. I love your people photos. You've a great eye for just the right shot.
6 is my favorite.

4. There were thousands of photo ops downtown yesterday. There were so

many people that if you paused for a photo you'd get run over. I did a lot of from the hip photos out of necessity. That is where the compact, and micro 4/3 come in handy. You can use a wrist strap and wide angle to grab those stealth images.

Hitting the delete button is as important as the shutter.

2. These are great, Alfredo.
You've captured these personalities very well.

I've got some photos from our parade, too; I just haven't sorted them all out yet. Probably tomorrow.

5. Thanks. Keeping up a conversation going during the shoot distracts the
subject long enough to grab a non "picture face." The two Asian girls didn't speak English, so I couldn't engage them in conversation. I did get across my appreciation of the choice of the Sigma.

3. Fine shots, Alfredo.
The kid in the third pic looks as though he could have done without having "God bless America" painted on his cheek!

7. Alfredo, I always enjoy your
"out and about" shots. The older gent in the second photo is so full of life, so full of joy!

The gal in the third photo is so very coquettish! And the two girls below that shot truly do not mind getting their photo taken.

And the guy in the Corona hat? He certainly exudes confidence.

Needless to say these are just inner observations with much imagination, but that is the true beauty of a good photo!

8. Thanks. A kind word always works. I think being an older man makes me
appear less threatening. Building trust makes for a relaxed subject.
