Road trip - Hatcher Pass
We took a little run up to Hatcher Pass on Wednesday. I've posted some pics here:

For some sense of scale, try to see the people on the other side of the lake. There are some folks on the path on the right, and some by the rock slide, below the snow, kind of in the middle of the shot.

2. Not real high, maybe 3,000 feet or so.

The summit where the lake is is 3,886 feet. Tree line is lower up here because of our latitude.

3. That's what I was thinking. You don't have to go too high
to get the "alpine" experience. I can't handle anything near 9-10 thousand feet.
