Anyone have some recommendations for HDR software?

I've been using Picturenaut, and it does a fantastic job, but I can't figure out how to get a PS-editable file out of it, such as a TIFF. It does make TIFFs but PS tells me it can't read them. And the more I read about it, the more confusing it gets.

Are there any other applications that you could recommend to me?

That's what I use to use before I upgraded to CS5, which has a pretty good HDR tool unlike the previous versions. However, the absolute best as far as I'm concerned is Nik's HDR PS plugin which I'm currently using.

I think I saw Photomatix before, thanks for the reminder. As for Nik's, it seems kind of pricey and I don't think I can use it in PS Elements 9, which is what I just bought.

3. No Nik doesn't work in Elements

I like Elements, I keep a copy on the laptop for quick edits on the road and it works well with Lightroom.

4. i have both hdr efex pro and photomatrix

I prefer hdr efex by nix. Photomatrix is a very good program but I just prefer the effects that the Nix program gives me. I use it in aperture 3 and love it. I bought the entire nix bundle as a trial version and ended up paying for it within 1 day... its that good :)
